A man from Argentina

November 21, 2007

I was randomly looking for free music to download while at work. I followed the first link that came up from searching ‘full albums blog’ into Google, which was ‘Free Albums Galore’. After reading through some of the posts the author recommended downloading music by a band called Billie The Vision & The Dancers. I did and followed this link which took me to a list of their albums.

Their second album was called “The World According to Pablo”! (Pablo is my name by the way!). The first track was called “I’m Pablo”. The third track was called “A man from Argentina”.

A running joke in my house for the last few months has been that I’m from Argentina (I’m actually Mexican).

Coincidence factor: 2.5/5 Stars.

What this is about, Who am I?

Kolibri

Hi, my name is Pablo. Its tricky finding the right words with which to properly introduce myself. I guess it always is.

More to the point, why am I making this blog?..

..My life seems to have a bit of the fantastic to it. I have always stumbled from coincidence to coincidence through what is largely a life led by synchronicity.

I want to make clear that I DO NOT chase coincidence. It is my viewpoint that to look for something is to inherently render it bogus. The best necklace is that which you find, the truest words of advice are those given which you do not ask for. Same with signs, I don’t look for them and I will only write about these signs or coincidences if they take me by surprise and come spontaneously, not because I was searching.

So far this has worked. I am open to a lot of things, and I think it is this openness, and willingness to appreciate the wondrous, is that which allows me to perceive and be moved by synchronistic events.

I have been planning on keeping a coincidence journal for a long time now, god knows how many great things I have missed writing by not having a journal before. But I guess now is a good a time to start as any. Hopefully this blog sheds some light on how/why coincidental events can create greater meaning, or rather a synergistic communication outside of ourselves with our/my environment.

I know a lady did a book like this before me, I can’t remember the books name, but it has been done, and probably to a greater extenct in study and analysis than this is. But I couldn’t find anymore on the subject, and I haven’t read the book. I looked up a ‘Catalogue of Coincidences’ online and couldn’t find any, so I guess I had to.

I hope you enjoy reading this and maybe you can start finding these great little events which help uncover meaning and magic in everyday life!
